Where is it at?

I've got the part, I just need to find out where to screw it into.

Thanks.

The part was only like $26 from Discount Auto Parts.

Then the sensor is located on the rear extention of the Tranny, about mid way under the truck....near where the bed meets the cab. Ya should see a yellowish plastic thing with a terminal plug on it. Unscrew it and screw the new one in.

My big problem was getting under the truck since it was dropped, but I just drove it up on a curb.

I just replaced mine, those damn cheap nuts snapped right off when i tried to take it off, so i had to buy a new one, but mine ran me $65 at autozone, which is better than the dealers price of $125

yeah, i checked autozone's website and they said $65, which was more than i was expectin. $26 sounds a little better, i think ill shop around.

now you changed it because it wasnt shifting, right? did it shift late, or not at all? mine doesnt shift til well after 2000, sometimes 2200. wasting all my gas!

It matters what year your truck is. 97 and earlier are in the tranny, 98 and up is in the rear differential.

Wouldn't want any other!
