Hey I have a 1987 4x4 Dakota with a 3.9 V-6. Need
help or a diagram or picture of plug wires and firing order. I committed the unpardonable and accidentally unplugged several of them while changing the distributor cap and wires. Need help please.

Thanks,
Tim

2 points at 5
the cap is # 1-2-3-4-5-6 counterclockwise from #1.

Good luck

You would think that after so many decades that dodge would number their distributor caps. In my 2000 dak there are pretty much 3 prongs on each side of the distributor cap...the one most foward on the left side goes to the one in the front on the left bank, than the middle one to the middle, and the back one to the back. same for the other side. If you do do this and it doesnt sound right than, well, i'm wronge

Thanks, Jas01dakon, that second part really helped me out once I found number 1. My cap didn't have numbers. Got my old 87 4x4 Dakota
running like a mean machine again.

Thanks, again,
