I have a 91 dak,pre mag.I've read on this sight on a regular basis that increased air flow will help power and milage. What can I do to help air flow? Can I remove the plate in front of the air intake? Will this screw anything up and will rain water get in if I remove the plate?

An engine is just a big air pump, the more air you get in and out of the engine the more pore you will have. A high flow air filter or cold air intake, a bigger throttle body, etc, will give you more power. Installing headers and a less restictive muffler will also give you more power. If your talking about the cover next to the grill thats in front of the air intake hose, yes you can remove that, water shouldn't be a problem but youll find more bugs and stones in your air filter. Theoretically you will get a few more horsepower when your driving down the road, but you won't notice a difference.

Look for Superchips Tuner...I believe TruckPerformance.com sells em. KRC performance prolly does, SoCalDakotas.com maybe, ummm...I'm sure there's a lot more places. Plus if you go to Superchips.com you can find a dealer in your area if you don't wanna buy online.
