 Subject: poor gas mileage

I have a 1993 dodge dakota sport with horrable gas mileage. I have already put a new O2 Sensor in, a new fuel filter, a new PVC valve, and realigned the tires, but i still get around 12MPG in city, is their anything i can do to boost it up to around 15-16?

clean fuel injectors. clean throttle body, inspect for vacuum leaks,TUNE UP with cap plugs rotor and wires replaced. check timing, tire pressure, higher gives better milage. have computer scanned with a Generic Scan Toolas there are some things that go wrong that won't show up with MIL trip or a basic key on-off-on-off-on sequence. and get a better mechanic.
