Message:
My dad now has my old 87 dakota. And he's been looking for a new Carb. But i was wondering, if theres anyway you can throw a TB on there. Of is the computerized sensors and parts on the TB not gonna be easy to place on there. They changed all the motors over to FI in 88 so i wonder what all changed in one year? Any input on this? And if the TB change over isnt possible, does anyone know a good place we can find a cheaper Carb for it. Maybe even a performance one? Please let me know.

computer and wiring are different, plus the intakes.

it can be done with parts and time.go with the carb. its much easyer.

318 carb will work with a little adjustment to the throttle linkage.

good day.

Vern,
What kind of adjustment is gonna need to be made to the linkage? Shortened? I dont understand. And also, what years of the 318 would fit this motor? We have an old 318 that my dad had in his charger before he went to the hemi. Its a 68, or atleast the car is. Or with the old carb's, does the year not matter? Please let me know. Thanks for your reply!!
