Subject: Dealer Tune up??
IP: Logged

Message:
Hello, heres a question. I have a 96 club cab,
I have 106500 miles, I need a tune up badly, I have just about no power and am getting horrible gas miliage.
Heres my question, is it worth having the Dodge Dealership do the work, or should I just do it?
I don't really have the time to do the work myself. It's only $65 an hour on labor. so it's not bad.
thanks for the input.

Do as much of it yourself as you can. Save some money.

Ill bet the dealership will tell you that you need more than a tune up. Then they will try to milk you for more money. Take a day off of work and do it yourself. Just my $.02.

I know the dealership won't rip me off, I told them what I want to be done and anything else to certain point, they need to check with me first.
they are wicked good about doing that too.

last time I was in, I had my tired rotated, and they found a small leak in one, and called me asked if I wanted it plugged.

Glad you got a good dealer! They are very rare. Hope all goes well with it. If you have a ratteling noise at idle I would recommend you have a timing chain tensioner put on it sometime in the near future.
