Hey I have a 2001 3.9 and I just wanted to know what kind of transmission they put in these trucks. Mine is an automatic with only 13k on the motor and it seems like the tranny is shifting hard in 2nd and 3rd, just wondering what kind of tranny it is and what I can do to imporve its performance. I believe we have the 42RE
If your having shifting problems you might try checking the TV cable adjustment.
