Man about 3 weeks ago here in va beach we had a good amount of snow (well as good as it gets here) and i went out and shot some pool with some friends and got a lil drunk. Well i was coming down my street and decided to play in the snow and ice a lil bit, well u can guess what happened. I lost it and did a 180, landed in a neighbors yard and put a fist size dent in the lower right side of my bed. Hit a God D##m flower concrete flower pot. But i got nobody to blame but myself... i feel for ya man, good luck gettin ur dent fixed. -Justin

I lied a little bit, the dent is big! it runs all the way from the top for the right hand side of the bed, all the way down to the bottom. it's a big one!

I love playing in snow with my truck!! snow doesn't dent anything! axes spins are fun!

a good paint cleaner. One that removes the dull dead paint pigmant should take that white paint off. Just rub hard enough to take it off.then put some cleaner wax on to finish it up

Don't know if this is really on the subject, but with 2wd trucks, throwing some weight in the way-back of the bed helps make 'em behave better in crappy weather. My preference is tube sand. It's good stuff; it stays put & doesn't slide all over the bed. Usually goes for under $5/60lb bag. We just got socked with over 6" of snow near Chicago, & when the roads are nasty, having that extra wieght back there makes a world of difference compared with an empty bed. Snow tires are good too, but sandbags cost less :]

Yeah thanks for the input. I had about 300 lbs of sand in the back of the truck, but I got sick of it. I didn't like how the truck looked with the back all weighted down. I have 4 wheel drive, just I didn't think I would have to use it getting out of my garugae! o-well.

One of the best things to use is a mix of sand and salt in a watertight bag. It doesn't freeze up.

That's why I like tube sand. It's not "real" sand, it's powdered concrete. The bags they come in are watertight, & are thick, kinda like if burlap had a plastic version, so there's no worries about turning your bed into a sidewalk.

Monkeyman, I never noticed my truck ass-dragging or anything with the weight even though I use 300lbs when the weather sucks. Maybe that's cuz the rear sits like 2"+ higher than the front when its empty. Anyway, I feel your pain regarding your garage ordeal...I had a '71 Fleetwood (huge old land-yacht of a car) several years back, and my driveway's just under 8ft. wide (one side is bushes, the other is my house). I pulled out too fast one night (keep in mind that before that night, this thing was MINT), and BAMMM! Tore off the trim, the right front door handle and peeled back the right rear door about a foot. Took out some pieces of brick too. So don't feel to bad, it could be worse...

Thanks everyone.
I fixed the dent today, I took a suckion cup and pulled the dent out. The paint was starting to come off (the white paint, not the truck paint) but I was getting cold. It's only about 15 degrees here today.
