i have i slight problem. whenever i'm idling in park or drive, the engine seems to be missing a little and running rough. sometimes when i'm cruising the engine will be minding its own business then it seems like i'll lose one or two pistons, if i give it gas it hesitates then i hear a loud pop sound from the engine compartment. i've tried new plugs and wires. any suggestions

Im not sure, but when mine did this it was the cause of a mis-indexed distributor. As far as a repair procedure goes, go to speedtweaks.net and then go to tips and tricks, they will tell you how to index it.
