Tom101, you are right, if the truck was sold in Canada then it would have to have day time running lights. Canada passed a law in 93 I think that said by 1995 all vehicals sold in Canada had to have D.T.R.L. (day time running lights)
I am for that, because it really does make the highways safer.

I have a 1998 dodge dakota with 3.9l engine. when i start it in the morning it runs like crap, then i put it in drive and when its cold it feel like it misfires or bogs down to the point it feels like its going to die. Once the temp reaches normal operating temp it runs fine no falling on its face or anything. ive replaced the tps sensor and put some injector cleaner in it. Any suggestions?

03 Dodge Dakota 4.7 engine. Takes 3 times to start vehicle when cold summer or winter. takes two starts after it's been driven. Often shows code p0302 #2 cylinder. Replaced fuel pump, vacumn line, tune up, #2 fuel injector, temp sensor. Two different dodge dealers and Midas unable to diagnose and fix other than the 1200 dollars I've spent on listed items. Please help about ready to trade it in.

Yeah no go on coil. I read about a sticky fuel valve which sounds like my problem. If I turn the key on 3 times and then start it fires right up. I had the fuel pressure test done after I replaced the fuel pump and they said it was not losing pressure. I'm really frustrated.
