I have a 93 dodge dakota 4x4. I am thinking about rebuilding the transmission next winter and then dropping in a v8. Has anyone heard if there are any problems with fitting the v8 magnum,360, in the dakotas?

....I have never seen a 4x4 R/T.....
They don't make 5.9l 4x4's I think the biggest you can get is a 4.7l Correct me If I'm wrong but Dodge didn't offer a v8 in a Dakota 4x4 until 98 or 99 (the 4.7l)

Actually they did make a v8. They made the 5.2,318. But I was wondering if the 360 would fit.

There are 5.9 Dakotas with 4x4, have seen them on the internet, but i donno if there are clearance issues with them or not, my guess is it is possible to get brackets and drop it in, but....

Do a search on this site, that is your best bet!

I am dropping in a 5.7 Hemi when I get the finances and my v6 goes bad. The Dakota is a great platform to build on!!!
