My 3.9 98 cc stalls a lot when I first start up. It goes to high rpm then drops bucks and stalls. What could this be?

Mine did that last week after getting it home from work no problem. Dealer cleaned the TB and that seemed to fix it. I do notice a loss in power now tho.

dude,
mines did that same stalling a couple of months ago. just go under your hood and make sure everything is hooked up securely. i was going over a bump and mines completely shut off. when it happened. its just someting loose.

I have a 98 V6 3.9 and it ended up being a leak in the Intake gasket. Mine would have problems starting but once it ran for a little bit it was ok. You can check to see if you pushing out blue smoke out the back to see if you are burning oil from it.
