Any of you guys know of a site where I can get 3.92 gears for my '99 Dakota 5sp? I'd like to get some for it. I've heard they make a pretty big difference. If I get some, can a normal garage install them?

sorry i cant help you with your problem but maybe you can answer my question. i was wondering what gears will do for you. i have a 01 v6 w/ intake and 40 series. what can i expect powerwise if i get gears? i have 3:55's now. what gears should i go with if i do get them 3:92 or 4:10s? thanks for your help.

I've heard that swapping to 3.92's help your tourque throughout the rpm range and especially help the lower rpm's. I'm not really sure though. If it's true, I'm all for it, because as you know the V6 Dakotas are terrible in the lower rpm's.
