Hi, what does any suggest to more power for my V6 3.9L. I have a K&N airfilter. the truck is a 96 so they don't make an intake, and I have a cat back exhaust made by Dnyomax. anything cheap that I can do that anyone would recommend?

Change to a V8 TB. Search out the past threads and you'll get all the info you need on this swap.

You can use an airhat off of an 97 n up Dak to put an intake on it. Dont use the Tornado. The money you save in buying that will get you an air hat from the dealership. DO NOT get a Power Tower either, they do nothing for these types of manifolds. After the intake work on an exhaust. Flowmwster 50's are good mufflers for these trucks. Also Dynomax to.

I'm not familiar with the 96 body style as far as how the engine is set up. You can always make an intake. It won't look as extravagant as a chrome or anything like that but it will do the same thing. I made one for my truck,02 V6 3.9, just could not see spending $150 or more for looks. I took it right up to the radiator support and custom made a deflector to protect the underside and engine side of the filter. It runs good, a little worse on gas though believe it or not!

You can add 1.7 Crower Roller rockers.. Give a nice increase from 3000 rpm to redline. Other's with 1.7s on their V6 can tell ya.
