I had a friend tell me about advancing your timing by pluggin in a diode into your IAT wire harness. This isn't a relocation of the IAT, but more of tricking the computer into advancing your timing and causing your engine to get a richer fuel mixture, thus increasing horse power. I was just curious to see if any of you guys have heard of this and wonder if there are any side effects or dangers to doing this to your IAT wire harness. I would really appreciate it if I got some feed back on this. Thanks -Justin

its not a diode... its a resistor. unsure of the proper size but it makes the computer think that the iat is reading a set temperature at all times. The idea is to get it to think that its reading a cooler temp to give more gas and advance the timing

Not A Diode but a Resistor, Or better yet build yourself the IAT adjuster

ok a resistor huh, so are there any dangers to doing this mod or is it pretty safe as well as worth it or would it be better just to relocate the IAT? -justin
