Hey guys, quick question. I know the Fastman and such make a Factory Modded 50mm TB for around the $250 range. F&B's 48mm is a whole manufactured unit at $400. My question is, which should I go with? What should I look for between the two? Finally, I heard going higher than 48mm will kill torque on the 3.9, although I do plan to make other modifications on the Intake and Exhaust dept and to add a 75 Shot of Nitrous soon.

I have the F&B Flowmetrics TB, and I love it. It was the best mod I did. From the research I did, 50MM is too big unless your are supercharged. I have no complaints about my TB. My main concern was that I didn't want to give up my stock TB to get the core charge back. So I went with the F&B. Plus, I knew that what I was buying was brand new, not a used piece with ???? miles on it. If you are looking for the most bang for the buck, just look for a V-8 TB from similar year truck, and massage it a little with a dremel, that is what a lot of people have done. Do a search, they are posted about all the time.

I would go no bigger than 48mm. I have the fastman 46mm and I love it, great hp & torque. But best of all is the real CRISP throttle response.

(Not driving the "mush mobile" any more.)
