 Subject: just got a 97 dakota! what mods to do?

hi, i just found this forum on a search engine, and i just got a dakota sport for my first truck! i have the v6 automatic, i LOVE this thing. i was wondering what inexpensive things i should do to it first? im going for looks right now, i definitly am putting two black racing stripes on it(the truck is white) and i want to put a black light in the cab, but what other things make it look good, im open to all suggestions, thanx!

The best thing you can do thats not to costly is remove your muffler and replace with pipe. If you can find it put a 3" R/T stainless steel tailpipe on and there is more HP instantly. I did this to my 99 V6 dakota sport extended cab and its sounds sweet and more HP in acceleration.

how much would that cost, but i really dont think i wanna do that, when i say looks i mean like lights and other cosmetic stuff, im getting tireflys tomorrow, but what else?

thanx Jeff! your truck looks great! how much would it cost to put two racing stripes down the middle of mine? an about cost? BTW: what kind of r/c car do you have, i have a nitro rustler. keep sending the suggestions to me!

Hey justin, did you make the box or did someone custom make it for you? If you made it and have any specs could u please send them to me. Im having a problem with the sub being behind the driver seat in a rc and was also thinking about making the center seat into a box for JL 10W6.

Well justin..my stripe was like $50..but she cut me a great deal because at shows i would display her cards on my truck...im goin to replace the yellow stripe...and the color i want...costs $130 for the roll....as far as the r.c. cars go..i have two..trinity street spec..with the parma dakota body...and a kyosho nitro tracker

Hang some dice from the rearview mirror, that's trick. Hmmm...maybe you can get those light up windshield washer jets? Silver or neon triple blade windshield wipers! Bolt on chrome tailpipe end. Hope this helps :-)

thanx for your input, i have 122 dollars to spend so im going crazy in autozone, and i bought a green light that goes to the beat, i stuck it at the passengers feet, looks great! im getting a pipe end one day and a sticker that goes across the whole top of the windshield with the three ram heads on them, it looks sweet.

what do you guys think about putting black racing stripes(10" wide) down the truck and a big sticker that goes across the whole top of the windshield that says "Ain't Skeered" ? i think thats what i want, but i want your input. thanx again.

personally...the "ain't skeered" sticker is overused and quite popular...i wouldnt bother going to autozone and wasting the 5 bucks on it if countless numbers of other people already have it...i suggest going to a place that makes stickers and putting a custom quote on there...something u made up that is original...
