If i was repacing my gears, Id get a set of 3.92's, or 4.10's... definently somethign better than 3.55, You can find 3.92's in junkyards sometimes, But Im quite sure you can order them from most auto part stores.

Ok...I need something that will give me better get up and go but also still need it to be stable, daily drivable for my courier route. I’m thinking about runnin at an 1/8 mile track here in town and I don’t want to look too slow. Also, I haul about 1000 lbs up steep bridges and a lot of stop and go red-light action. Are 3.92 good for this?

What have you got 3.23's with a 5 spd ??

3.55's are usually the stock for auto's and newer Daks.

Don't quote me on this, But I think 3.92's Would be pretty good for what you want, You dont actually need 4.10's, but i think that 3.92's would give you what your looking for, especcially if you have only 3.23...

I just got my 4.10s installed and love them to death. Highway speeds (70-90mph) ain't as bad as I thought they would be. I was really considering the 3.92s but eventually went for the 4.10s. The 3.92 is probably your best bet.

hey if you are definately looking for new gears, and you don't want to go to a junkyard, you can go to this web site truckperformance.com, there you will be able to find 3.92's rings and pinions, and limmited slip differentials if your into that as well. The Gears go for about $190, and the Diff's go for about $450, they have three different Diff's that you can choose from, I've done business with them, and they are pretty good about all of their products. They carry the richmond line of gears, and differentials. Hope this is of some help.
