What are the widest tires to fit on the stock wheels. It is the '93 stock wheels. I dont know how to explain them but I THINK they are 15 x 6.5.

I think somewhere around P255/60/15. They may rub a little but they will fit.

Hey man I have the 15X8 inch stock rims on my truck and I have 275/60R15, they are wide as piss, someting like 11 inches wide and they don't rub at all.

On the stock rims 235/75R15 rub only at 95% of max steering on the stock fronts(2wd). With aftermarket rims with less backspacing you should be able to fit 255s without rubbing. I can't get the specs of the rims(backspacing) from the guys that are running 255s but, you could fit them on the stockers if you don't mined doing a 8 point k-turn everywhere you go. They probably turn 60% of max before hitting. I have had 265/75R15 on the rears with enough space to go to 295s if I had a rim they'd fit on.

you can use 'plus-zero' sizing and get 255/70-15 tires. in MY opinion, getting lower than a 70 profile will put too much gap in your wheel well. thats why i see so many funny looking stock, non-rt 'kotas that ride on 50s or 55s with that big 'ol gap in between the tire and the well.
