 Subject: Grinding Noise at startup

I got this griding noise when i turn the key
in the morning times its real loud recently in the colder weather.
Any ideas what this can be? Its a quick sounds,
nothing drawn out, just there then gone realy quick.
Sounds maybe like the starter, but not sure cause it sounds likes it coming from under the hood drivers side
now you know thats..................

only in the morning ,or any time hot or cold.
you can take the starter off and check the bushing on the tip of the starter housing
then since you have it of, get it bench tested.
make sure you take the negitive cable of first.
