can't I just buy me a new and improved idle air control motor, or are the shakes just a curse I gotta live with?

i guess from your post its idling rough all the time .
a little maintenance history is in order , the normal things plugs,wires,etc
grab your engine and shake it ,or whip the throttle to see if the engine moves alot suggesting that an engine mount maybe allowing the engine to jump about
