what do you guys think of the chips they are selling on ebay? sounds like a hoax $3.99 for a chip, don't know what brands!! Do you think a homemade intake will work just as good as a storebought intake?

It matters not who built the intake as long as the air delivery is as cool as possible with as much flow as the little TB can suck......I don't know about the chip.

do you really think that the factory air box restricts the air flow. I have a K&N in there right now and took the elbow off and put a 5" tube on in place into the fender. Was looking at the intakes that are available and no way am i gonna pay what they want when i can make the same thing, it just won't be chrome or whatever!!

the so called "chip" they are selling on ebay is nothing more than a 50 cent resistor from radio shack. You just unplug your IAC and plug the resistor into the harness and tie it up so it doesn't flop all around. there are instructions for it at speedtweaks.net

I believe the resistor is a 4700 ohm 1/2 watt resistor
