LMAO!!!! this is the funniest messege forum i've ever seen. Now everyone knows that Ford rules the truck bussness. besides who's going to seen driving them uh, yeah dakotas they look like somthing a chick would drive. Try driving one of them ford f150 supercharged lightings if i recalled thier the fastest trucks on the road 0-100 in 5 sec in the 1/4 mi. And if the ranger sucks then why is it the best selling small size truck for the past 15 yrs? if thier so crappy why are people buying them and going back too them?..I knew some ppl with dodge trucks and said thier crap, the trannys giving out at 20 K and engine problems..lol this is so funny to me. well, later good luck with the dakota message board.

The reason Rangers are the best selling is that the majority of the buyers are looking for a cheap truck. When it comes to money, most people will buy it cheap. Well you get that in a Ford Ranger. The Dakota owner is looking for something a little more than cheap. Something with a nice ride, better options for power (V8!), more room and just better all around truck. So take your cheap A$$ Ford (Found On Road Dead) and find your way to the next mechanic. We will just enjoy driving ours right on by! LOL!

Even if ur "fake" knowledge of the hp and tq ratings of the ford lightning are 500hp and 500lb/ft of tq are right then theres somethin else to consider. The new Dodge Ram SRT V-10 thats supposed to be coming out in the new future, this Viper V-10 cranks out 500hp @ 525ft/lb of tq!! Just to give yah somethin to eat on you damn ford (found on road dead) enthusiasts.

The only reason people buy a Ford are there made and sold cheap, thats why they always break down. I have a 2 year old Dodge Dakota and it has almost 13,000 miles on it and I have not had a single problem with it. My dad bought a Ranger a few years back and has done nothing but break down. If you like to be a driver of a car that stands for found on road dead then good for you, I'll take a dodge anyday. By the way, lightening sucks Ram SRT-10 will kill it.

Oh yeah by the way, that Dodge Ram SRT is comeing STOCK with the Viper V-10. No way of keeping the rubber on the road with that one.. :)

dodge daks will beat rangers hands down i picked the dak over the ranger for this reason but the srt 10 ram will not hold a candle to the 2005 lighting with rumored 550+hp and the supercooler system which works like a 75 shot of nos without the damage, not to mention a six speed manaul tranny whick will smoke the automatic srt 10
and as for the dumba$$es who think there lighting can do 0-100 in 5 seconds and has a turbo you make me sad to be a ford enthusiast

The Ram SRT 10 has a six speed manual. Good luck to Ford in making that crap work. SRT-10 = Naturally Aspirated with much more potential than the Ferd.

I have to put my 2 cents in on this one. I own a 1990 Ranger and also a 99 Dakota too. I have been a Ford fan for a long time but I like a Dodge truck and love my Dakota. My 2.3 Ranger has 218,000 miles on it and I really don't see my Dakota ever seeing that many miles on the odometer, which I don't see many trucks seeing that many miles. And as far as the Lightning v/s SRT 10, I think that I would put my money on the Lightning. I've heard that it has 500 hp and the intercooler adds an extra 50. Also the Lightning is lighter than the SRT 10. I'm not throwing off on the SRT 10, because I know they are going to kick asphault but I honestly don't think it will not see much more than the tail lights of the new Lightning!!!

just so all of you faggots know this ford sux, the lightning is not the fastest truck on the road and if you put a mopar 360 pumping out a stock 380 hp. slapped on a turbo giving it an extra 100 hp. and put it in a dakota no truck on the road would touch it. so you can take your ford lightning go put it up against a 03 chevy silverado ss and watch your ass get kick from the beginning of the 1/4 mile till the end. MOPAR OR NO CAR!!! FORD(F'ING OLD REBUILT DODGE)

Tokenabud- You're one of those people that I just wanna run up to and ask "How does it feel to be so f*cking stupid?" For starters, we are talking about factory trucks so when did Dodge start rolling Dakotas off the assembly line with turbocharged 360s under the hood??? And also, will you tell me how a Silverado SS (which comes stock with 345 hp and 380 ft lbs of torque) can outrun a Lightning (which is "under-rated" at 500 hp and 500 ft lbs of torque)???? The Silverado SS also comes extended cab so that's extra weight too. So Tokenabud, do us a favor and go smoke another one Numb Nuts!!!
