Do these trucks have governors on them? I had my truck floored last night on the highway in 5th gear and it wouldn't go any more than 85-90. I was very disappointed!!! it's a 3.9 2002 rc.

It kinda seems like some do and some don't. I have seen people say they have done 120 and others like you that cant get over 90. Personaly I have gotten my 2000 v6 up to 95 but didn't care to push it any farther for fear of tickets. So to answer your question......I have no idea.

Well the first time I tried to get past 100 I didnt succeed. I tried flooring it when i was going 85 + mph. Its didnt go past 99 mph. The next time I tried I floored it from 60 and held it. I went to 110 and could have still kept going. Also try pumping the gas pedal. Dont let off the gas completly, just release the gas a little, then push it down again. YOu will notice your rpms go up quicker.
