I run a 3 chamber Flowmaster. Deeper sound and a little louder.

Hit my site and click on a video of mine and you will hear what it sounds like. It takes a Real media player to view the video.

You shouldn't ask questions on this board, people assume you're already an expert and will probably call you names. Especially some assclown named Slopehead.

The 40 series are 2-chamber mufflers...

The 50 series are 3-chamber...

The Delta Force Race mufflers are one-chamber mufflers...

I've got a 50-series (non-delta flow) on My dakota and it is dumped just before the rear axle.... It's plenty loud... I love setting off people's alarms... he he he

The one chamber is the Delta Force. Deltaflow is something different that Flowmaster did to decrease interior resonance. They added an extra baffle in the muffler. I have a 40 series Deltaflow with a Carsound cat and that this is plenty loud, sets off any alarm around, especially with my manual tranny. I can rev it as high as i want to. The one chamber is loud, its supposed to be for racing only, but i have no idea of the sound quality. Hey, try it if you want to.

I have a 2000 dakota, 3.9L with single exhaust going into a 70 series big block flowmaster, with duels out the back and 24 inch stainless steel tips. The truck sounds awsome to say the least. I think you guy's are using the wrong type flowmaster, as the 70 series is designed for smaller trucks. Try it, you'll like it!! The 40 and 50 series are for CARS dudes!!

not to be a a$$ but if the 70 series is a big block muffler why would it be designed for a 239ci engine.
Didn't know that a 3.9 was a big block engine.

Break-em. Fix-em. Gotta love this truck!
