I just put heartthrob duals on my 97 3.9. i purchased them from JC Whitney. They were pretty easy to put on, and they sound good too. I was not expecting it to sound like a V8, but i was impressed when i cracked them for the first time. I would say they are one of the best options for the money.

I also hooked up a set. No complaints. My brother says that glass pack resonators blow out. I doubt the little 3.9l v-6 would blow that hard. I found the headers at a realistic price from summit and mopar. Mopar is cheaper and I don't know if either set has a crossover or hookups for emissions yet.

I installed a gibson dual split 2 1/2" w/ bassani 70 degree downspouts a few months ago and could not be happier.(I wanted the supertruck exhaust from gibson) but could not find them for a 3.9 engine!! I beleive that gibson is the best bang for the buck. There was also a noticable difference in the peppieness. it sounds like there is a nice growl to my truck now.
