So what is the differencs in the JET stage 1 and the stage 2. the stage 2 requires a new thermo, exaust and prem. fuel, right? what does the stage 1 require. is the added cost of the 2 worth it. i am not into racing. i am just looking for better acceleration and all- around performance. any help would be great. thanks

jay, slow down a little dude. don't keep dragging up old posts and tacking on your questions. either use the SEARCH function on the site or post your own new question.

i answered this IAT question on this post you put up here: http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/v6/11590.html

that's ok. i am glad to see you're so enthusiastic about doing something to your truck. don't get me wrong but, your 3.9 will never be a powerhouse unless you spend some serious coin. like a supercharger or turbo or stroker kit.

using the search is easy. for the IAT relocation, just type in IAT and there is prolly a million posts.

so slow down a little do some searching, soak in some knowledge and whatever you don't understand, ask away. someone will answer eventually. and most important of all, HAVE FUN WITH IT!

If your going to get a Jet go right to the stage2
you do not need any of the mods to run this chip
it just works better if you have them

Be sure you get the right chip they are vehicle
specific chips and do not cross from year to year
they are programed that way, a lot of guys get
used chips off ebay not for there specific year
and than say they are junk not true they do help
a lot

better response more fuel and timming

I am running a stage 2 on my 95 4X4 and it makes
a big diff but I have all the mods done, including
porting and the crank sensor mod and it does not
ping running reg gas they also give you better
gas mileage

since the porting I am pulling 23mpg in 20 degree
weather cant wait to see what this babe does in
the summer Halo H9a spark plugs roger should have
the new production run of this plug ready for
sale by april these center fire plugs run better
than any plug I have tried all you need is a good
set of wires to use them

Will not run well with MSD ignition

189hp at the wheels dynoed it the same day I did
the stroker 309/322

No this is not my stroker motor that is in a 94
sport short box 2 wheel drive truck

Do a simple reality test, Jay. A stock Neon has a lb/hp of around 20 or a little less and you are likely around 23-24 lbs./hp. With that big of a difference torque alone won't do it.

Jay,

If your going to do a computer upgrade on your truck for the price get a superchips programmer (it is available for the 2003). From what Ive heard, the jet chip is good but the superchips programmer is better. I have not done either to mine. I'm not sure if I want to mess around with the computer or not. Larry is the guru (spelled right?). If you follow what he says, you can't go wrong. However, the superchips is not availble for older trucks.

How long have you had your truck? Until this week I haven't seen you on here before.
