If that state trooper that replied to my post earlier happens to read this...could you give me any possible reason why I still haven't received my court summons yet from the ticket I received Wednesday 11/20/02? I'm just wondering since I figured that it'd be here within a few days and as of tomorrow it'll be two weeks. Thanks,

In Georgia, the ticket IS the court summons. Better look at the fine print....

GB2000, I know that in NJ you've got to call the state patrol board and let them know what your plea is (guilty, not guilty, go f yourselves) after that they send you a summons. This also applies to local county municipalities.
But like .alex says, read the fine print, front and back.

Being that I'm 16, it works differently for me... fine print about court says "To" in the time "Be" on the month and "Set" on the year. All the trooper told me was that I'd be receiving a court summons in the mail shorly with my court date and info in it. With the city cop that pulled me over he already knew the court date and it was written on the ticket. No summons required, but I guess it's different with the troopers....

Cross your fingers and pray to the lord above that trooper never filed the ticket at the end of his shift. Then again, pray to god your summons is not lost in the mail somewhere. If you don't show up for your day in court, they will definately find you. Don't try to blame it on the mailman either ;)

Man, I been prayin for that since the day I got the ticket... now I'm just prayin even more for maybe another week. By then I'll probably know for sure...I hope.

it'll come in time. may take a lil longer than
usual. but it will get there. i gota tickte once
and didn;t get the court date till well over a
month after the violation. but it'll come.

Damn... if they're gonna send it, they oughta send it already. I'd rather lose my license now and get it back right as I'm getting out of school instead of lose it and get it back halfway through the summer. Grrr...

I think I just jinxed myself saying that... I got the summons today. Argh... not only that, but instead of having to go to court in Shelby County where I got the ticket, I have to go to the same prick in Miami County (where I live). I can't stand that judge err...magistrate. Instead of making traffic offenders understand what could happen from their actions and helping educate them, he sits there ripping you a new @sshole and telling you how stupid you were. Then he nails you with a punishment almost two times as bad as what the BMV laws are. Sorry...just venting a bit. Everyone wish me luck December 18th and just hope I can get privileges to drive to and from school.

i knew a guy that got a DUI and nothing ever came in the mail, it got lost somewhere and its like it didnt even happen.
