why the heck is my truck so slo, its a 93 v6 regualr cab short bed.
it has flowmaster duals.

its top speed is 91mph.

it starts off strong, gets up to about 83 in overdrive, then shifts down to third, (i dont know why it does that, and speeds up to 91

Leave overdrive off and round out 3rd gear. I do that and get up to 115 and once put in od it slows down. Also try to be WOT from 0mph and on. If i am at 80mph and punch it, i only can get to 100mph, if i start from 0mph and keep it floored and wind out 3rd i get to 115 no prob. Check your tire's speed rating first.

now you know thats..................

i used to think that my '92 topped out at 95mph, but that was in third gear and i didn't let the tranny warm up for OD to work. It will do 105 easy, but i haven't yet.

what yall talking about? 91 miles per hour is my cruising speed down interstate. Once i reach that speed, i am only like pulling 3300 rpms. or so.i could easily go faster. Is there a reason that the 93 short cab has speedometer up to 115 whle my 94 only goes to 110?
