I think Sam also has them

If you do a lot of driving in town or have a lot
of electrical assorys just use the single crank
pulley not the 3 set or you will have low voltage
at off idle and low speed and it will affect the
way your truck runs

For those of you who changed to an electric fan, is there anybody who makes a bolt-on kit with thermostat and mounting bracket? Or are these always custom fabrication jobs?

I installed the Electric Fan from flex-a-lite. It integrates a thermistor and a thermostat, includes all hardware and shroud, some wires but needs more, no switch for the manual mode option. I used the universal model 150. The only thing you need to figure out is where to mount your coolant overflow if yours mounts to the factory shroud. Your old shroud should be saved should you need to pull trailers or bedloads. Save your old clutch and fan, too. Great easy mod but you can overheat in the summer under heavy load and hot ambient temps. I think this summer I will use a flex fan and split the difference between a clutch fan and the electric fan. Suggest you drop in the 180 deg t-stat for the summer. I get a low temp trouble code in the winter driving a 91 3.9l v6 4x4 but see last comment of this post. Need to install grill inserts or a grill cover to help the truck stay at operating temp. I have a manual switch wired to cut out the fan from automatic cooling. I also spliced into the A/c compressor relay for the other option that energizes the fan when the A/C is on. Note defroster energizes the compressor and causes cooling fan to come on in this setup and the switch has no effect when the A/C is on. THAT is pretty cool. Benefits: no power lost to clutch fan, water pump life increased, faster warmup, cooling when truck is switched off, less weight (than clutch, fan, shroud). Cons: if switched-remember to energize fan when you reach operating temp, Unable to keep up with temp under heavy loads going uphill in 90 degreee summer. However my radiator had 120,000 mi on it. I installed a new one and now the truck won't seem to warm up!
