How in the @*?$!!! can you get to the oil pump to replace it without taking out the whole motor????? I have a 2000 3.9 Quad Cab Dodge Dak with V.6 Mag.

take 1 or both motor mouts off jack up and
remove pan

Now go to chrysler get there performance catolog
out get the melling high volume (not high presure)
pump and a gasket the pump comes with gasket

listed for 318 same pump

Should also check drive shaft and bushing
just see if you can wigle it if you can
need puller pull old bushing and replace

Check the post above yours. Larry says to remove one of the
motor mounts and jack the motor up. Hello!

how does one replace the oil pump driveshaft in a 5.2 1999 dodge dakota. replaced pump but oil pressure comes and goes.
