I hear what sounds like a grinding noise coming from the front of my Dakota SLT truck. Any ideas what may be causing it. I only hear it when accelerating.

With you discription im not sure but what you can do is pop the hood with the truck on and rev it from the throttle body, not to high, but when you let off listen for any strange noises

Hey Mark Savitt,
My truck does the same thing. This seems to be a very common problem with the Dodge Dakotas. Read my post on this site under high pitch whining noise. There's about 30 other posts from other people with this same problem. I would love to find out what it is and how to go about getting it fixed as it is very annoying.

He said GRNIDING, not whining noise.
It could be any number of things. Without standing next to the truck it is impossible to say what it is.
