I have an MSD 6AL and like .alex. said, if your truck runs, then its working. The only way to tell if it is working as MSD "CLAIMS" it should be working, you would have to take it to an MSD qualified rep / dealer and have them put it on a test bench. I did this a year after I owned it and it worked as if it were day one.

So, is the MSD 6A a recommended upgrade, or no? I've been considering getting one. I admit, I was fascinated by the theory of multiple sparks, and in theory, it sounds like it should at least make the engine burn cleaner...

i would run it.. wait.... i do have one. It is a nice little toy. No throttle body mod but nice. Helps a little on top end but helps gas mileage more importantly and cleans up some emissions.

Yeah, throttle body mods are great :)
I finally have a new dremel so I -might- do some more work on mine over thanksgiving. What I really want to do is get my ASP Pully on, the clutch fan off, and change the plugs. The MSD sounds like something to get maybe, it's not too expensive and if it improves milage, at current prices it'll pay for itself in no time!
