I have a warrenty on my truck. I only have the v6 but would like to keep my truck because I have done some cosmetic things with it. But only have the v6. Would it be possible to get chysler to put a v8 in my truck if the v6 suddnely just blew up. Would have to pay extra I am sure. Would the transmission work or would they have to change that also.

No, they won't. I wouldn't recommend having 'something happen' to the engine either (unless it truely is just something that happens, not something you -make- happen), because a lot of times the mechanic will be able to tell. The computer will store a record of the last engine settings, like RPM, so reving it in neutral until it blows will void the warrenty.

I have seen instances where the dealers will upgrade a customer to chrome wheels for free if they keep destroying the alloy ones. But they won't do that for an engine, theres a lot more involved than bolting in a new motor, you have to change exhaust, computers, mounts, sensors, fuel system, etc. Dealers don't get involved in that kind of fabrication and modification work.
