Yes I used the port on the side of intake manifold, but my MAP didn't have a "Y" to it just a little rubber 90* from the MAP to the TB port I just turned it around capped the TB port and used a adapter from the 90* to the 1/4" port on the manifold using a piece of 1/4" hose.
Also if your going to use Mobil 1 you might want to schedule your RR's around a oil change, I did mine about 2-300 miles before a change that way you can get rid of any contaminants from the install

That's interesting that the MAP between your truck and mine would apparently be that much different. The hose from my TB port goes all the way across the engine, over to the area behind and below the battery, where it connects into that Y coupler. I haven't chased down the 2 Y legs to see exactly where they go yet. I'll have to look at it more carefully just in case I was looking at something else...I'll probably leave it alone unless I get the same problem that you were experiencing...thanks again for the info!...P

Yea we had some pretty high wind gust last night, I did hear today that a tornado touches down near Lima,OH about 60 miles NW of me.
I took a look at the Vacuum line that I think you might be thinking is the MAP line, My truck has one with a Y going to the TB but that one isn't the MAP line. You will see it when you have your TB off it's just a 1/16" rubber 90* under the MAP sensor to the TB

Man, we had the worst...tornadoes were everywhere in west Tn and arkansas and alabama. I live in West Tn and there is 36 deaths in East Ark., West Tn, and Alabama. I think there was 12 deaths in TN.....one tornado went over my great-grandmother's house, the roof partly came off but she wasn't hurt........let's just say it was a pretty rough weekend here.......

Dirkota My 93 had factory 3" to muffler and 2 3/4 out the muffler so just put on a 3"pipe out the back. 92 and 93 the only yrs they had 3" 94up had 2 1/2 pipe all the way that what lower the hp 175 in 94up 2 1/2 pipe, 92/93 had 3" and hp was 180 for the best muffler quiet run the 70 series big block 2 real quiet in side I have one on my 02 crewcab

Dan, yet again...thanks for the great info. You've been a big help to me so far. I'll be sure and check for that MAP line when I get the TB off.
Glad to hear you're OK, too, Drew...I grew up in Kansas, and now live in KC, right on the Missouri/Kansas line...pretty much "tornado" country. In all of my years in this part of the country, though, I've only seen 1 tornado, and only been close to the damage caused by 1...back in 1966, when I was 13 and living in Topeka. An F5 went right through the middle of town...I still remember those big elm and oak trees, probably 5 feet across at the base, just twisted off 3 feet above the ground. I saw some video of that theater in Van Wert, OH, where the manager got the people out just in time. Nothing there but the seats, like an open-air amphitheater!! And 2 cars sitting in them!! That's just too wild. It's hard to imagine a wind with that much force and power...

I would suggest Flowmaster. Go with a 40 series or 50 series. The 40 is a little louder but the 50 sounds good. Greg

You said you did not like the ravin you had installed. What model did you have put on? I know they have 3 different models. I think they are Z-33, Z-55, and Z-77. I was thinking of getting the Z-77 because it is the quitest. I know the Z-33 and 55 would make my truck sound like a ricer.
