Can anyone tell me how many lbs the stock injectors are on a 2001 Dakota? I have found some 3.9-19lb Bosch/Ford Fuel Injectors, and i wanted to know if these would upgrade or just replace stock injectors? Also should there be any notice of increase in power?

No real increase in power... will just make the idle a little smoother and it works well with exhaust, TB, and intake mods. Just delivers a more precise flow of gas to the engine... not too bad of a mod, but dont expect too much from it.

I just bought these exact same injectors. Haven't put them in yet though. What is the stock fuel injector #? Is 19#'s too much for a stock engine?

JKW,

Where did you get your injectors, and about what did you pay?
I have been looking around and have not been able to come up with any yet. I would really like to do something to help smooth my engine. I have made a few mods but it still is too rough for my taste.

Thanks,

the stock injectors on your 2001 are 21#, switching to the 19# would be a step down, for '97-'00 the stock injectors are 19# and it is cheaper to just find a set out of an '87-'93 mustang 5.0 off of a budy or something (since everyone has a friend or two that has one of those things) the spray pattern in the FMS injectors is better than the stock ones in the '97-'00 trucks, but again i wouldn't switch to a 19# when you already have a 21# in your truck

hope this helps,
Brian

I got the injectors from fiveomotorsports. I got a really good deal on them. A set of 6 for $122 and some change off of eBay.
I put them in last weekend and it seemed to slow my truck down on acceleration. I emailed the guys at fiveomotorsports and they sent me a new set to try. The ones I put in were black, the new ones they sent me are yellow. Anybody know which is which?
I haven't put in the yellow ones yet, just got them in today.
Jeff
