Subject: Dakota Car Insurance...What do u pay?
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey everyone,
I came to the conclusion that i don't have enough money to buy mods for my dakota. I was thinking about the bills that my money all goes to and thought about car insurance. My insurance for full coverage on my '01 Sport CC 2WD V6 Automic, patriot blue, just went up from $263 to $280!???!!! I have 2 points on my license for speeding 77mph in a 55, man i miss the my Eclipse turbo, and i'm 19 years old. I wanted to get some numbers from everyone to see how outragous these rates are. By the way i have allstate insurance.

32 years old. I pay $71/month. Not too bad considering I have a less-than-perfect driving record. I haven't had a ticket in the last 4 years, but before that, I was very bad. I use to have a motorcycle that always got me in trouble. =)

Farmers Insurance on a 98 4 by 4.

With 120 deductable, towing, lock out, roadside assistance, 300,000 liability and a few other options I can't think of, full coverage, $115 a month. Towing is an extra 6 bucks a month, I figure with the crap transmissions in the truck and I am 500 miles from home, it will be towed back to the city I live in.

Oh yeah, I am 35, 0 points on my license, accident free for the last 9 years a Chauffers License, multi car discount, in Indiana.

I think the insurance rates are calculated on several different factors. Location, Age, Vehicle, Engine size, Miles driven one way to work/school and Primary purpose of vehicle. Now taking all this into consideration, I livein Delaware, I'm 25 with 15 years experience (you do the math, I'm not gonna say it! LOL) a 98 Dakota (of course) 3.9L V6, 45 miles one way to work, and basic transportation in my primary purpose. My insurance company is USAA and I pay about $55/month for full coverage. I know before I retired from the USAF, I was re-assigned from North Dakota to Delaware and my insurance doubled for the same vehicle even though I drove it less distance to and from work.
