Alright so I have a 93 Dakota Sport with a 30 series Flowmaster and K&N. I just put a new cap, rotor, and plugs as well as the O2 sensor a thousand miles ago.... Whys does she still back fire so loud between shifts? Its like a gargling blop blop blop and then quites down.... Any clues? Thanks

what did you do to your catalytic converter. if you hollowed it that could be one thing ir somewhere you have a leak in your exhaust which is causing low backpressure. check the gap on your spark plugs. check the cap for carbon deposits (means cap is cracked) other then that I have no ideas I hope I have helped

My dak backfires because of a leak in the exhaust manifold. I would check the seal around the manifolds. I didn't even notice that the back two bolts were completely broke off flush. That's why my 3 chamber "Big Block" series muffler sounds kinda bad. However, it sounds sweet at an idle.
