I have a 97 3.9 4x2 dak sport and i can only reach 95 mph. It takes me a while to get there, so would that be the limiter/governor, or is it just that my beast cant reach that speed? I was very annoyed when i couldnt break 100. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. And no, i dont go 95 all the time, i have done it twice. I'm not that dumb.

auto or 5 speed?? it could jsut be your rev
limiter if its an auto. if you have it floored
then it may jsut be that. if you don;t have it
floored and jsut kidna build your way up to it
then it could be your governer. and theres nothing
wrong with goin fast.

they can be. it depends on what kinda chip you
get. some chips will change it some wont. i'm not
to familiar with them but i know theres been a few
post about them. so do a search and you'll find
something on it. and your welcome

i have the same year and all and mine hits govern at 112......got to 120 going down a hill =)
but mine was at 4500 rpm's and then kiked up to the rev limiter right when i hit 112, so i think if it wasnt for the govern it would reah 120

95 eh? if that was all mine did I'd be havin a good man take a look under the hood, somthing just ain't right if thats all yer pullin. My 97 3.9 cc 3.55 automatic hits that in 3rd

i can get my 99 2wd up to 117 befor the governor kicks in. i thought this was pretty good.
