Where to start! No. 1 son has a 2001 Trans Am WS6, LS1. Runs 7.95 [1/8 mile]. No. 2 son has a 2001 Cavalier z/24 2.4. Runs 10.19 [1/8 mile]. Dad has a 2000 Dak 3.6 Mag, CC, Auto, stock, best run so far is 11.19. Can I do enough to be competitive with No. 2? No. 1 is out. Thanks for any advice. Great forum guys, HELP>

Air intake, headers, muffler thats all i've done
to mine and i'm runnin 10.24 1/8s in a reg cab
though. what i've done so far has cost me around
$500. you can add on from there, which i will do
when the money is good, with a new throttle
body($250), underdrive pully ($50), roller rockers
1.7 ratio($350), new spark plug wires($60). and
theres a ton more you can do. so for a lil over a
grand you can have No. 2 lookin at your tailgate
and No.1 laughing at No.2

my friend has a 2000 "crap"alier z-24 with an auto. I can keep up with him till he hits his rev limiter at 106mph, then I blow past him. tried on the pa turnpike. dont know what i run at the strip.

Justa4X2, I know what you mean. He started out the season running 10:60's and got better with Mod's. I watched both of them and got jealous as hell. Got the Dakota in August and was not in their league. Just run it on Fun Friday nites. Racing is on Saturday nite. Maybe with Mod's I'll get there. See ya.
