Well, We Pretty Much Ported And Polished The Stock 48mm V6 TB On My '98 Dakota Sport Today. When We Finished, We Bolted Everything Back Up And Re-Connected All The Connectors. We Then Proceeded To Start Up The Truck And Noticed The The "Check Engine" Iditot Light Had Lit Up And Stayed Lit. The Question I Have Is, What Is Causing It? Could It Be That The System Needs To Be "Re-Learned" After It Was Disconnected And Reconnected?

Just thought i'd let you know that you should still take it to a chrysler/dodge dealer and have them clear the (DTC) diag. trouble code out of the computer because it should still be in there. Also have them Re-Learn all of the values in the PCM . OBD2 systems are designed to shut the light off after a certain mileage (8-12 miles) if the problem is no longer there, but the codes still stay in the pcm. The only reason the light would have come on is if the key was turned on while any sensor was unplugged.
