 Subject: Whistling noise from manifold?

Ok,
Ever since i blew the airhat off my dak (my
stupidity with a nitrous system) Ive been
getting a wierd high pitch whistling from the
manifold. It only happens when the throttle
blades are at idle/just off idle. So i knew it was
a vacuum leak somewhere. Well i had some
extra time today and i found it. Seems as
those on the passenger side of the manifold
there is a little spout, looks like there was
once a hose attached to it. I know its not the
valve breather bc that one is connected to the
manifold just above this mystery port. I put my
finger over while the engine was idling and
sure enough the sound went away but it the
truck started to stall. Does anyone know what
this port should be a home for? Im a little
concerned.

its there for no reason... it had a cap on it. i think that it was for egr crap on the older daks... not sure but just cap it off. I had the same problem but with the supercharger... i blew a couple of them off....
ne ways do you still have that nitrous set?

it sounds like it was goingto stall when i
capped it with my finger. eh, we'll find out.. :-)
Nope i sold it to a guy on the boards (Jesse). I
was going to go turbo when bernd gets his kit
fo the v6 put together but i found a nice little
deal on a 1995 toyota supra TT with 32,000 mi
on it. Im waiting till the spring (i graduate from
college then) to buy the supra.
Good news is im still keeping my dak,
would never give it up! Just got a new paint
job for her too! Brand new white paing with the
fender flares painted "BMW" black (realllllllyyy
shiny) and a set of viper stripes! So ill have
my fun car thats capable of prouducing 1000+
horsepower with the right turbo/engine
upgrades (gotta love that 2jzgte engine) and ill
have my truck for the winter and for my daily
driver. Who says you cant put yourself through
college and save money? :-)

Josh,
Is your a/c vacumm hose still attached to the passenger side of the manifold? It sounds like your mystery tube is in that location.
