 Subject: hard start

My question is when I start my 96 dakota sport 3.9 5 speed it turns forever if I stop and try again it starts right up.When I turn the ing off, if I start it up in 5 min. or so it cranks right up. Any longer and it will not start on 1`st try stop and try again&it won`t hardly turn over 1 time before it starts right up.It is almost like it has to turn over so many times before it will start.I keep it well serviced,any thing anyone can tell me?

Check your fuel pressure if thats ok try the crank sensor
