I know the thing to do is to put in the AutoLite 2923's {right ones?} but I saw in an ad the other day about BOTCH plugs{ spelling? } and they were the new kind the ones with multiple contacts on the bottom. It has 4 plates on the bottom.

I was wonder if they are any better? performance wise. I'd like to "wake up" my V6 more and wondering if they would help.

thankx everyone

I had those Bosch spark plugs in my 98 V6 cc SLT. No power differnace at all. Engine pinged under load.

Installed auto lite's and the truck runs smooth and no engine pinging! GET THE AUTOLITES.

From what I've heard the platnum doesn't dissipate heat fast enough and can cause to some detonation (pinging and knocking in extreme cases)

Window covers, Harley-Davidson mudflaps, custom cat-back exhaust,

Yes I had the Bosch platinums and when I switched to autolites I lost the ping.

No Mine would happen in the RPM range of 3200-4200 or there about. LIke a crackling noise from the engine. Fixing the belly pan gasket at the same time also helped. Man, that was a job and a half. I must have bugged bernd a few times while doing that. THANKS :-)

Bosch also claims better performance with the 4 tips... But if you don't know, electricity takes the shortest path of travel...

Ping is the milder version of Knock. This happens when part of the combustion doesn't take place when it's supposed to. I believe what your talking about is dieseling.
