I have a 95 dakota sport with a v6 and a 5speed and my question is do this trucks come with a holley throttle body? that sort of surprised me when i was replacing the air filter to see a holley there. This truck has some pretty decent balls, i can chirp them all the way to 4th sometimes 5th gear. Pulls pretty nice between 1500rpm all the way to 4500rpm. I was just woundering and also does anybody have a soundbyte with someone reving there engine. i want to get an idea of how this engine sounds uncorked. Thanks for any replies...

Yeah they come stock with holly TB's. If you search the threads you can find some good sound clips.

www.dakota-truck.net's sound page has some doakotas with exhaut mods and stuff with sound clips. I don't know how many are v6's but it might be good for you to check out.

If i powershift into 4th sometimes they will chirp, but this is with cheap all season tires. I don't believe that anyone on these boards can chirp them in 5th.

It must be an old Dak thing. You new timers don't know what power is about. My 96' Sport 5-spd will also chirp them in 4th and if i catch it right also in 5th. Maybe it's the driver. I have Goodyear Eagle GTII tires so.....

with my mods minus the blower, i only chirped 3rd twice on a 255/35/20, and that was with some verry hard shifting. if you are scratching 5th, you either have some VERRY low gears (like 4.56's) , or some VERRY hard rubber.
