I have read a couple posts of people changing these out with higher flow ones. Does this affect performance? Just wondering....
Here is my truck and mods:

01 3.9L RC
Homebrew K&N intake
V8 TB conversion
Dynomax Turbo Flow Muffler
TPS Sensor rework
IAT Adjuster
Autolite 3923s

BTW, anyone know how to check rear end gearing? Is it written on the diff? Thanks all!

Don't quote me, but I don't think it's necessary unless you're adding something like a supercharger from what I've heard. The diff. ratio ought to be on a sticker in your glove box.

Bernd makes a reference to Ford 19# Motorsports injectors. Might be worth it. The Motorsports injectors are "blueprinted", which means that all six injectors (3.9V6) will perform within +/-1% of each other rather than the +/-15% typical of the stock injectors. I would guess you'd get smoother running and better response. Maybe even some slight mileage gain since the injectors won't be pumping in extra fuel where it's not needed.

on crank and crome on TNN they did a 24lbs swap on the injectors to a stock camaro z-28 (or firebird... can't remember) and they pulled out about 4-5hp more at the wheels after tuning it. the truck comes stock with 19#, but if you are going to run NX or a SC, go up in injectors... mine will go up when i need to.

On the Z28/Firechicken post, they're MAF based systems. It's much easier to swap injectors on those than on our (Speed Density) systems.

The FMS 19# HighFlow injectors are more than adequate for a V6 (I run the 24# FMS Injectors due to the 10# boost from the Supercharger).

Hey bernd, good to see you back again!
Are the stock injectors on our v6 17#? What would the 19# get me?

BTW, I was wondering if a 50hp dry shot is too much for the stock pistons/rings. I am thinking of adding a sneeky pete, and I wanted to know the limit of the dry shot. Thanks again bernd.

They're 19# overdriven via the fuel pressure (49psi +/-5psi). The 50HP dry shot won't hurt anything if you use it as per the instructions. Get the HighFlow FMS 19# injectors to be safe though. Anything higher than the 50HP shot will require added fuel. (Make sure you run Super Unleaded with the 50HP shot to control detonation, a 180 t'stat, and 3923 plugs.)

Hey bernd,
what year and make of ford should i try to get those from? I know I can buy a new set, but they are a lot of money. I saw some on ebay, but they say the require the MAF, which i know our daks dont use. What should I go with? Thanks again bernd!

Toxic: At idle - 50psi. At WOT under boost - 80psi. (FMS 24# injectors on my truck though)

SprtTruck: I purchased the FMS 19# HighFlows from Summit Racing: FMS-M9593C302 - $209

My 2001 3.9 v6 Dakota has 250,000 miles.I was told the injectors need replacing as they dont shut of when not running causing a drip in cylinders, making the start up hard and exhaust smell like its running rich. How to determine which injectors are faulty? Or just replace the all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way I still get the same mpg as when it was new. I hve used only Mobil one synthetic since day one and it passed smog test at 186,000 with flying colors. Also I do not use a thermostat at all. It runs in the middle of summer in Az. with the ac running at 153 degrees.
