i wanna get the fipk for my 2000 v6 but was concerned with all the installation issues (cruise control, ac lines, etc). would it be bad if i didn't put the heat shield on? i know they make it for a reason so i'm kinda scared to leave it out. will it hurt the engine if i don't install it?

thanks!

Won't hurt anything, the shield just helps keep the incoming air cooler to give you a couple more horsepower. Would actually help in the winter time, sometimes these engines will run rough in the winter with the cold air intake kits on them (if you live in a snowy climate).
