I have a 2002 SXT 3.9 and I was told the magnaflow would perform a lot better than a flowmaster at a compared price. Has any one put one on and which one did you get? I want to have the pipe exiting in front of the wheel with a tip.

Josh

I just got a Magnaflow muffler on mine and had the pipe exit at the back with 5" tip. The muffler I got is a part #14355 found at

http://www.magnaflow.com/03cat-back/03ss/03stainlesssteel.htm

I love it sounds good at idle and nice and stout accelerating.I went with the 2.25" in/out to keep some of the backpressure and preserve my stock SS exhaust pipes. I'll try to get some sound clips and pictures for you.

Truckboy, The stock pipes are 2.25in then? How hard would it be to get the pipe to exit out in front of the wheel?

I had a flowmaster installed, cant remember the #, but it was what they recommended, and all they did was put on the muffler, again like was recommended. It greatly increased preformance, and sounds great. Best and cheapest HP I've got so far.
