Subject: mounting of Fog Lights
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi all... I purchased a set of fog lights from my local Wally World (Walmart) and they came with a pincer type, u shaped bracket. I am having a heck of a time finding a way to come up with another bracket to mount these things. There are two holes on the botom of the bumper but that leaves about a 1" drop to the top of the light bracket. Anyone else beat this beast into submission.

I have a 2000 V6, Auto.

Thanks

Rick

It has been a while since I did mine, but I got a set of Pilot fogs for my truck. Me and my dad had to use a couple of electrical box supports to put a bolt through and attached the fog supports to it. It is hard to explain, there is a pic of this on my website.

Thanks for the reply Bill. Can you describe the electrical box support you used?

About the only way I can describe it is that it is a small piece of aluminum about 4 inches long and an inch wide with a hole in the middle of it. I think it is used to support ceiling fans or electrical boxes, but I am not 100% sure. You may want to go down to the local hardware store and see if you can find what I am talking about. Sorry I can't be of more help, but this was a piece that we had just laying around the garage and it worked for us.
