Ok here is the problem i have adjusted and played with the tv cable it used to help but now it does nothing the truck is rapidly going downhill.
Its a 98 3.9 with 30 thousand miles, it shifts topped out at 4400 4500 wupppptyyyyyyyy dooo(sorry it piss's me off) and i cant manually shift it because it doesn't shift out of low and bounces off the rev, and with my nitrous system this is very very bad.

does anyone esle have this problem and how did you fix it!

thanks!

I think the TV cable adjusts shift feel, not shoft rpm. I think you need to put a performance chip in to solve your problem, or maybe just disconnect the battery and let the trans relearn.

Reset the TV cable and replace the Governor Pressure Solenoid. Also...when is the last time you serviced the transmission (fluid/filter changee)?

BTW: Do not shift manually...the Reverse/Low band clamps down in "1" and doesn't release quick enough on the 1-2 shift, causing a slow (bog) on the 1-2 shift (this is inherent to the design of the 727/904/500/518/42-44 RH/RE series transmissions). Stick it in "D" and let the automatic shift for you...or...shift from 1st to 2nd (manually) at no more than 1500rpm. Low will still stay engaged but the band will let go way before it shifts into 2nd.
